Henry was a very happy person. His joy was reflected in the way he treated others and his jokes and smile made life fun. Henry loved the Lord with all his heart, he rarely complained and loved serving in his church while he was able. He taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir as well as the Wesleyan Men. He also enjoyed working with the youth group and the youth basketball ministry over the years. He was an avid sports fan and was devoted to the Clemson Tigers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Philadelphia Phillies. All his life, he was involved in some sort of maintenance work, whether HVAC or industrial, even owning his own maintenance company until he retired.
Henry was born in New Port News, VA to the late Saint Edward and Carroll Baynes Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Dawn Richardson; brother, Joe and wife Velna of Reidsville; Gary Richardson of Eden; sister, Jessica Richardson Benfield Herring and husband Johnathon; nephews, Jacob Benfield and wife Samantha, Silver Benfield and Kaleb Benfield; great-niece, Ana Benfield; sister in law Denise Young and furbaby Charlie.
