Alfred Schroeder Obituary
Born in Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, he was the son of the late Alfred W. Sr. and Bessie Moon Schroeder. He was a graduate of the Hamilton High School, New Jersey Teachers College, University of Maryland, and Rutgers University.
Pete honorably served his Country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. And was honorably discharged in 1961.
He as an educator in the Reynolds Jr. High School, New Jersey and then a vice principal and then principal of the Steinert High School, Hamilton, New Jersey.
He loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Pete followed Major League baseball very closely and as coached baseball for Jr. High School. He loved horses and Nascar.
He had a love for the bible and studied it and went to church regularly throughout Luzerne County.
Pete also played the piano at many family gatherings.
He as preceded in death by his spouses, Carol A. Schroeder (Gdinsky), Linda Schroeder (Tinklepaugh), Brother, Arthur L. Schroeder.
Pete is survived by his children, Alfred W. Schroeder III and wife Katherine, Edward A. Schroeder, grandchildren, Lindsey Schroeder, Alfred William Schroeder, Mallory King, Nicole Schroeder, and Allison Schroeder, great grandchildren, Madelyn King and Presley King.
A viewing will be held on Sunday February 8th, 2026 from 2pm until 4pm at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. A service will be held at 3pm.
Interment will be private in the West Pittston Cemetery.
