Alfred Simon

Alfred Simon of Rocky Hill, passed away at his home, the Atrium Assisted Living at Rocky Hill on November 25, 2022. He was 91 years old. Alfred was born in Waterbury, CT on February 11, 1931 and grew up in Fort Kent, Maine. He was a son of the late Omer and Ozite (Lozier) Simon. Alfred was a proud veteran having served with the US Army during the Korean War. While in active duty, he was awarded several medals, and a Purple Heart. He was a man of many skills and a good provider for his family. Alfred married his beloved wife, Marjorie Louise Pratt on June 14, 1959. Marjorie died on March 13, 2002. Alfred was also predeceased by a son, Andrew Simon; a daughter, Patrice Spicer; a granddaughter, Jennifer Cochran; a brother, Harold Simon and his wife, Dorcas; a sister, Anabelle Lipski (Simon) and her husband Frank. He leaves to mourn his passing a step son, Michael Cochran and his wife, Lynn; a grandson, Daniel Spicer and his wife, Sarah; two great granddaughters, Amelia and Margaret; a brother, Gordon Simon and his wife, Joanne; a friend and caregiver, Jean Olson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private, according to Alfred's wishes. The family would like to express their gratitude for the staff at Atrium for their compassionate care.
