Alfreda R. Denny, 87, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 at her home in Fort Hall, Idaho.
Alfreda was born June 13, 1938, in Fort Hall, Idaho, to Simon Broncho and Rosie Martin.
Alfreda spent her lifetime in Fort Hall other than when she attended Stewart and Chemawa boarding schools.
In 1984, Alfreda married Richard Denny. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Native American church, Sundance and Sweat.
Alfreda worked for Simplot, social services and was a cook at the Fort Hall jail.
She enjoyed being with family and friends and going on outings.
Alfreda is survived by her children, Patrick Broncho, Anthony Broncho, Charlie LaDeau and Dolly Gonzalez; her nephew that she raised, Carlos Broncho; grandchildren that she helped raise, Landon Fisher, Bailey Fisher and Kaison Fisher; and grandchildren, Gregory J., Olivia, Anthony M., Megan R., Ericka, Casey, Forrest, Jordan, Jeremy, Melina, Mark, Madaleine, Mitchell, Marita, Michael and Mason Broncho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Rosie M. Broncho; and all of her siblings, Leland C.H. Broncho, Roylance B. Edmo, Charles Broncho, Wilford Broncho, Loretta Flint and Ernestine Werelus; and grandchildren Alarice Broncho and Yvonne Broncho.
Alfreda will be taken to the Pete Broncho residence, 275 Edmo Road in Fort Hall at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 22 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Traditional burial will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Gibson Cemetery.
