Alfredo Emilio "Big Al" Brun, 58, of
Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away on December 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 8, 1967, in
Manhattan, NY, Alfredo blazed through life ferociously marked by a confident strength, unmatched generosity, and an unwavering dedication to the people he loved.
A proud United States Marine, Alfredo brought the discipline, loyalty, and resilience of his military service into every chapter of his life. Following his time in the Marines, he worked for many years in the security industry, where his strong presence, reliability, and leadership made a lasting impact. Eventually, Alfredo took his experience and drive to the next level and became a business owner-building a legacy through hard work, determination, and a vision that inspired everyone around him. Alfredo's work ethic was matched only by his heart-he was deeply protective of his family, endlessly motivational, and known for his larger-than-life personality. To many, he wasn't just Alfredo - he was "Big Al," a name that reflected not only his presence, but also the size of his love, his character, and the impact he had on others.
Alfredo loved God and lived life with passion and gratitude. He cherished moments spent with his family, especially long drives with loud music playing-most often freestyle-where the windows were down and the world felt wide open. He found joy in simple moments, laughter, music, and togetherness. Nothing made him prouder than the love of his family and watching his children grow.
Alfredo leaves behind his loving wife, Diana, and his cherished children: Emilio, Briana, Kayla, Justice, Alexis, and Jayden. He is also survived by his beloved mother Miledys; his siblings Richard and Marisol; and his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly: Robert, Jasmin, Kristina, Joshua, and Richard Jr. Alfredo also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Though he left this world just before welcoming his first grandchild, Alfredo's love, spirit, and legacy will live on in his granddaughter, Katalina, expected to be born this January-carrying forward his name, his strength, and the love of family that meant everything to him.
There are people whose presence fills a room - and people whose presence fills a lifetime. Big Al did both. His spirit, guidance, and love will continue to live on in the hearts he shaped, the lives he lifted, and the family he built with unwavering devotion. Even in his hardest moments, he believed in pushing forward, improving, and growing. His favorite motto captured his strength of mind and heart:
"C.A.N.I - Constant And Never-Ending Improvement."
This mindset didn't just guide him - it inspired everyone who knew him.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever Big Al
