Alfredo "Fret" Salinas, 76, of Lampasas, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Round Rock, TX.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 3:30 pm at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Alfredo was born in Brownfield, TX on December 28, 1946, to Cruz and Maria Salinas. He grew up in Brownfield and the West Texas area. He was a career mechanic and spent close to 40 years with Procter Motors in Lampasas. He also enjoyed collecting guns, making and collecting knives and hunting. To many he was known as "Shorty". Most of all he was a family man and loved being around family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, George Salinas and a son-in-law, Val J. Boulet.
Survivors include his wife, Leonor Salinas; sons, Freddy Salinas, Jr. and wife Shannon, Littlegeorge Salinas (Leo) and wife Sara, Bobby Salinas; daughters, Jody Salinas and Claude, Betty Salinas, Veronica Boulet, Kim Salinas; his brother, Oscar Salinas; his sister, Maria Lopez and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty.
