Al was an outstanding cook and I was recipient of a spontaneous dinner
invitation to witness this when I arrived late in the day after driving from North Carolina.
When I was Al and Eileen's neighbor, he came over to visit and say, "Goodbye" to my sweet Soft Coated Terrier, Peggy, who was dying- a dumb but loveable creature. He was genuinely sad to see her go.
Al & Eileen's rotating gang kept them active and I pray they will add to Eileen's life as she will miss his presence. They had a house full of visiting children and grandchildren rotating in and out so their age was never that of two elderly folks sitting in rocking chairs.
Over the years, Al shared Eileen's messages with me via the internet - since Eileen was not on the computer. THANKS AL! I look
forward to continued contact (somehow) with Eileen... To the outstanding crew from the couple: Al & Eileen Kapocious - "Carry on!" That is what Al would have you do... Sending love and prayers to Eileen
and the gang of kids and grandkids...
