Algot G. "Al" Rorrie

Rorrie, Algot G., "Al", 91, of Bellingham and formerly of Westwood died peacefully on July, 6, 2019. Al was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Hoyt), who died in 1998. Born October 30, 1927 in Norwood, MA, son of the late Thomas and Gustava (Anderson) Rorrie. He was raised in Westwood before moving to Bellingham. He was raised and educated in Westwood, MA. He proudly served in the Army during World War II. After the war Al worked as a Westwood Fireman until his retirement in 1983. Al loved fixing small engines and was an avid beekeeper. Al was a part of the Norfolk County Beekeepers Association. Al is survived by his children, Carl Rorrie and his partner Cindy George and Dave Rorrie and his partner Dottie Grignon both of Bellingham. Al was predeceased by his son Norman Rorrie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Tuesday, July 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
