Alice Borne

1934 - 2022

Alice Borne, age 88, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Thursday, August 10, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Alice was a graduate of Second Ward High School and a retired Central Supply Tech of West Jefferson General Hospital. She was also a former employee of Padua House. Alice was a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where she participated with Good Shepard and Young at Heart Ministries. Beloved wife of the late Curtis Borne. Devoted mother of Reginald (Elizabeth) Johnson, Sr., Debbie B. McKinney, Charlene B. Hill, and Faith Borne-Riggins. Grandmother of the late Darrius Curtis Borne. Daughter of the late Wimberly, Sr. and Esther Johnson. Loving sister of Lucien Johnson, Shirley Coburn of Los Angeles, CA, and the late Clarence, Walton, Wilfred, Herbert and Wimberly Johnson, Jr., Clara Johnson, Mildred Butler, Wilberine Harang and Gladys Armand. Also cherishing her memories are 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest, and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christina Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney Speaks, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.; Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m.; Followed by Tribute. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
