Alice Ruth Bowlin

Alice Ruth Bowlin, age 80, of Mooresburg, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was a member of Old Spruce Pine Missionary Baptist Church and was saved there at an early age. She loved the Lord and attended Avondale Baptist Church in her later years. Each church held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Charlie Austin Bowlin; son, Christopher Scott Bowlin; brothers, Gale, Jack, and Wade Carpenter; sister, Faye Moore; parents, Adam and Madge Carpenter; brother-in-law, Larry Bowlin.
She is survived by her son, Tracy (Joyce) Bowlin; grandchildren, Tommy (Courtney) Bowlin, Hannah Bowlin and fiance, Ethan Daniels; sister, Anne (Jack) Phillips; brother, Glen (Linda) Carpenter; sisters-in-law, Helen Carpenter and Katharine Bowlin; she was blessed with a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice for their excellent care in her final days. All acts of love and kindness were greatly appreciated.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Saturday, January 10th at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will begin at 7pm with Brothers Austin Atkins and Donovan Cook officiating.
