Alice Cizek Obituary

Cizek Alice L. Cizek, 78, of Coudersport, PA died unexpectedly Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. Born on July 31, 1933 in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Walter M. and Anna S. Brooks Lehman. On May 16, 1959 in Germania, PA she married Norman F. Cizek, who died on June 16, 2009. Mrs. Cizek was a lifetime resident of Coudersport and was a 1951 graduate of Coudersport High School. She was employed with the former Anchor Toy Company and in her later years she was employed with Adelphia Cable Communications working in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll. Mrs. Cizek was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church and Court Doyle #932 Catholic Daughters of the Americas where she was currently serving as treasurer. She was also a 60-year member and a 7the degree member of Central Grange #1216 of Sweden Valley. She had been a member of the Coudersport Office Girls where she served as treasurer for 16 years. Mrs. Cizek was also a member of the Potter County Historical Society and the Allegheny Valley Region Antique Automobile Club of America. Surviving are five daughters, Marla Cizek of Harrisburg, PA, Wanda Cousins of Olean, NY, Anita Moore of Ellicott City, MD, Linda Rogers of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dee O'Palko and her husband, Andy, of Morgantown, WV, nine grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Cory, Lindsey, Kyle, Krista, Matthew, Stephanie, and Jennifer, and one sister, Donna Lehman of Coudersport. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Brian Neil Cizek. Friends are invited to attend Alice's Life Celebration beginning on Thursday, January 19, 2012 with visitation from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport. Visitation will also be held on Friday at St. Eulalia Catholic Church from 10:00am – 11:00am at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend James Campbell, pastor, as celebrant.
