Alice Marie Collins, 72, of Pershing, passed away Tuesday morning Oct. 14, 2025, at Reid Health in Richmond.
A daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Howard, Alice, was born in New Castle on Jan. 28, 1953. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1971. She went on to earn a master's degree in speech pathology. She worked as a special needs teacher in Wayne and Fayette County School Corporations.
Alice married the love of her life, Danny Collins, on March 15, 1975, at Zions Lutheran Church in Pershing and made their home in Pershing for the past 50 years.
In her leisure, Alice enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and going to their various sporting events, cooking, baking, annual trips to Mexico with her best friend Debbie, and spending time in nature at the woods with Danny.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Danny; two sons: Ben (Ashlee) Collins, and Matt (Deborah) Collins; five grandchildren: Gaige, Reed, Miranda, Alexander and Katelyn; brother, Warren (Mary) Howard; sister-in-laws, Brenda Crull, Linda Campbell and Sandra Huber; brother-in-law, David Collins; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Michael Collins.
Visitation for Alice will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Cremation will follow.
