Alice Corbin Obituary

Alice Madeline Corbin (nee Sprinkel) of Hampstead went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2025 following a brief illness. Born November 5, 1946 Alice was the daughter of the late Myra Anna Rebecca Sprinkel and the late George Smith. She was the beloved wife of Gregory Corbin for 53 years, proud mother of Christopher Corbin (Sally), Sean Corbin, and Candace Corbin-Hope and Grandmother of 5 Grandchildren. Alice was a 1964 graduate of Westminster High School and a 1968 graduate of Western Maryland (Now McDaniel) College. She worked as a social worker in many capacities primarily in adoption, foster care, and other child related services. She was a member of the Covenant of Grace PCA Church in Reisterstown. While raising her family she was active in various Christian children's groups such as teaching Sunday school, bible school, Pioneer Girls, Awanas and Christian pre-school. She was an animal advocate and enjoyed showing and rescuing rabbits and other animals. She dubbed herself "the Crazy Cat Lady". But above all she adored being a mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home on Willis Street, in Westminster from 11:00am to 1pm on Friday October 3, 2025. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm followed by a private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the animal rescue of one's choice, or the Humane Society of Carroll County.
