Sue was born in Wyandotte on February 18, 1939, to Truman and Elizabeth Litwhiler nee Rogers. Sue was a dedicated elementary school teacher in the Brighton Area School District, teaching 1st and 2nd grade children. After her retirement, Sue preferred spending her private time at home, where she loved caring for her cats, attending church functions, and enjoying gardening and crafts.
Sue is survived by her stepson, Kelly (Lisa) Davis of Oxford, MI; two grandchildren, Sarah and Gavin; and brother Steven Litwhiler. She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents and husband, James Howard Davis, in 2021.
Per Sue's request, arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors – Bossardet Chapel in Oxford. Private services will be held at Woodland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite animal charity.
