Alice Ila Feltman

Alice Ila Feltman (Howard) was born on March 4, 1938 in Murray, Utah to Percy Leroy Howard and Fern Doris Wood.

Ila passed away suddenly on the morning of December 12, 2025 at the age of 87. Ila was a spirited person, loved life and when focused on a goal or specific task she dedicated herself to fulfil it. She was a gifted pianist and devoted her life to teaching piano to many people throughout her life, even up until her death.

Ila served in many capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was the organist and pianist for over 60 years in the various wards she lived in. She was a member of the Daughters' of Utah Pioneers, loved music, art, painting, travel and adventure. She has painted many incredible and awe-inspiring paintings. She loved to learn, read books and went to the temple every week. She was never afraid of anyone or anything, which was evident when she went sky diving for her 80th birthday.

Ila was a volunteer at the Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital for many years volunteering in many capacities including transporting patients, working in the gift shop and helping others find their loved ones. She truly enjoyed spreading kindness and compassion with everyone she met.

Preceded in death by her parents Percy and Fern, Verlynn Smith (brother), Todd Butterfield (son), Vaun Liechty (son in law) and Charles Scott Feltman (step son).

She is survived by her husband Charles Robert Feltman, her sister Ilene Robinson (Ernest), her 3 children Steve Butterfield (Sherree), Sonja Liechty, Julia Mehr (Troy), daughter in law Anita Butterfield and her 3 step children Douglas Feltman, Todd Feltman (Judy), Molly Edwards and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 6840 E Gold Dust Ave., Paradise Valley, AZ, 85253 with a viewing from 10AM to 10:45AM and a Tribute to her life at 11AM.

Her body will be laid to rest at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery at 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ, 85207.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith in her Savior.
