Alice Franck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Options Funeral and Cremation Services, LLC - Naples on Dec. 9, 2025.
Alice Louise Franck, 85, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Naples, Florida.

Born on January 13, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama, Louise was the daughter of Jack Norrell and Rebecca Kirby Norrell. She was the older sister to Robert, Linda, Richard, and Roy.

After graduating from University of Montevallo with an education degree she moved overseas to Bremerhaven, Germany, to teach the children of US service members. There she met and married her husband, Peter, on October 29,1965.

Louise and Peter loved to travel and found adventure and friends everywhere they went. They retired to Naples, Florida, in 1999, where they were active members of the Pelican Isle Yacht Club and spent much of their time on board their boat.

Louise was a lifelong lover of books and cherished her position on the board of her local Friends of the Library chapter. Her cross-stitching skills were legendary and the pieces she made will be treasured by those lucky enough to have them.

Louise is survived by her husband of 60 years, Peter, her sons, Michael and Chris, Daughter-in-Law Laura, her grandchild, Alex, five nieces and nephews, and an infinite list of friends near and far.

Preceding Louise in death are her parents, Jack and Rebecca, her siblings, Robert Norrell, Linda Hinson, Richard Norrell, and Roy Norrell, and her grandchild John Franck.

At her request, no service will be held, but family and friends are encouraged to raise a glass in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise's memory may be directed to the Friends of the Library of Collier County. Make checks payable to "Friends of the Library of Collier County, Inc." and mail to: Friends of the Library, 650 Central Avenue, Naples, Florida 34102.
