Alice Elaine Frost, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this world on December 15, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 20, 1938, in Auburn, Nebraska, Alice was a radiant soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
A proud graduate of Topeka High School in 1956, Alice went on to enjoy a fulfilling career with the State of Kansas, retiring from the Treasury Department. Her dedication to her work was only matched by her unwavering commitment to her family, who were the center of her universe.
On July 2, 1961, she married her beloved Gerald Grant "Frosty" Frost in Topeka, Kansas. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Aleta (Mike) Boucher and Nina (Floyd) Johnson, who carry forward the loving spirit and values instilled in them by their mother. Alice's home was a sanctuary of love and laughter, often filled with the joyful sounds of her grandchildren—Nicole, Camille, Nelina, Anna, Floyd Jr., Virginia "Ginny," and Karrie. The joy of family continued to blossom with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Autumn, Lilly, Jacob, Alarick, and Evan, who brought endless delight and fulfillment to her life.
Alice was a woman of many passions. She loved comedy, often filling her home with laughter, and nurtured a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Gardening was a cherished hobby, with flowers blooming in her garden as vibrant as her spirit. She found solace by the lake, relishing the peaceful moments spent sitting quietly with the breeze, a true testament to her love for nature.
A gifted cook and baker, Alice's culinary delights were known to bring people together, turning simple moments into treasured memories around the dining table. Her beloved dog, Lucy, was a constant companion, sharing in the joys and serenity of everyday life.
Alice’s life was also enriched by the presence of her sister, Mary Jane (David) Cregut, whose bond provided additional joy and support. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma Agnes (Lockett) Keithley and Ray Keithley, her husband Gerald who left this world on August 8, 2018, and her brother Robert Ray Keithley.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Alice's remarkable life with visitation on December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parker-Price & Davidson in Topeka.
