Alice Guinn

Alice Faye Guinn, 82, of Jonesborough, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born to the late Willie and Georgie Holt, on August 9, 1943, in Telford. Alice was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, loved her herd of goats, and enjoyed hiking. Her and her husband hiked the full Appalachian Trial. Alice was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her son, David Guinn.

She is survived by her husband of over sixty-four years, Howard Guinn; daughter, Lisa Berger and husband Edward.

The Guinn family will receive friends on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2026, at Cherokee Baptist Church - 143 Mayberry Rd. Jonesborugh, TN 37659, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Clay Austin officiating. Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral Service in Cherokee Community Cemetery. Roger Drake, Wayne Treadway, Bill Stoots, Susan Peters, Marcia Pruner, and Joy Cook will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Self, Larry Byrd, and Edward Berger.

In lieu of flowers, the Guinn family has requested that donations be made in Alice's memory to Cherokee Community Cemetery - 143 Mayberry Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659.
