Alice "Betty" Hayden, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Canton, Michigan, at the age of 89. Born on September 2, 1936, in Amherstburg, Ontario, Betty brought joy and warmth to all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Betty is survived by her five loving children: Patricia (Thomas) Kurt, Jill (Bruce) Cochran, Julie (Ernesto) Luna, Todd (Pamela) Hayden, and Aimee (Daniel) Long. Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: James (Lydia) Kurt, Andrew Kurt, Kyle (Margaret) Cochran, Rachael (Spencer) Weiland, Abigail Hayden, Jack Hayden, Elena Luna, Benjamin Luna, Noah Long, Adam Long, and Gabriel Long. Additionally, she was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Oliver Kurt, Monika Cochran, Graham Kurt, and Reed Kurt. Her siblings, Robert Paquette and Stanley Paquette, also survive her, sharing a bond of love and memories that will endure.

Betty's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her community. She was known for her kindness and compassion, always making time for those in need. Her nurturing spirit and infectious smile brought light into the lives of those around her.

The services honoring Betty will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan. Visitation will take place on December 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Rosary service starting at 7:00 PM.  A further visitation will occur at Resurrection Parish, 48755 Warren Road, Canton, Michigan on December 16, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM and culminating in a Mass at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM.

Betty Hayden’s memory will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends, as they remember the love, joy, and inspiration she brought into their lives. She will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all.
