Ryan Ashley Nellis, age 47 of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away on January 1, 2026.

He was born in Marion, Ohio on July 7, 1978 to his parents David (Jill) Nellis and Linda (née Lewis) Nellis. Ryan is the beloved and devoted husband of 21 years to Amanda (née Martin) Nellis and loving father of their two children – Reagan Nellis and Mackenzie Nellis. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his brother Colin (Ashley) Nellis; father-in-law, Ronald (Brenda) Martin; sister-in-laws Christine (Matthew) Oldani and Melisa Martin; and nieces and nephews, Ava, Max, Henry, Lily and Oliver. Ryan is predeceased by his loving mother-in-law, Suzanne Martin.

Ryan grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Walnut Hills High School. He moved to Michigan, where he met his wife, Amanda and became a proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University. He enjoyed a successful career as a Construction Project Manager and approached his career much like his personal life with focus, integrity and a strong work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed reading and sports. He was an avid practitioner of Jiu Jitsu and loved the physical and mental challenge of mastering this sport.

Ryan is dearly loved by many and will be remembered for his sense of humor, integrity and loyalty. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue through those who knew him.
