She was a great “Prayer Warrior and she visited and prayed with folks in the nursing homes and those who were homebound. She loved making Christmas hats every year for The Salvation Army. Her Christian witness was ever present and will always be known, just as it says in Hebrews 11:4, “he being dead yet speaketh. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sam Bivens, a daughter, Delois Mowrey and a great-grandson, Ricky Henderson. She is survived by a son, Monroe Bivens & wife Pearl of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Mattie Watson & husband Gary Gene of Kingwood; a son-in-law, Fred Mowrey of Paris; sisters, Inez Taylor of Dallas, Nellie Adams of Paris and Iva Veal of San Antonio; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Gary Wayne Watson, Chris Wear, Craig Adams, Roger Mowrey, Sammy Bivens and David Marchbanks.
