On Saturday, October 8, 1955 She married Arlen Dewel Hillis. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hillis was an amazing artist who loved painting with oils and she also painted the school halls at Twin Rivers Elementary School. She volunteered with Budd Builders and made quilts and dolls and took them to Mexico to give to the children.
Mrs. Hillis enjoyed traveling & camping with her husband. They camped all over the United States and their favorite camping spot was Sam A. Baker.
Mrs. Hillis is survived by one daughter; Pamela (James) Dunivan of Fairdealing, MO, one son; Kevin (Debbie) Hillis of Broseley, MO, 2 sisters Geneva Roberts of Broseley, MO and Nadine Uhl of Fisk, MO; 7 grandchildren; Marty (Karen) Reese, Heather (Keith) Willcut, Amy (Eddie) Ward, Robbie Ward, KayCee Klusmeier, Dustin Hillis and Brandon (Katie) Hillis; and 9 great-grandchildren; Keaton Willcut, Kanaan Willcut, Ashtyn Reese, Stormy Ward, Lexie Vandergriff, Teagan Klusmeier, Ren Klusmeier, Emmie Klusmeier & Harley Jones.
Along with her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Karen Hillis and one sister; Alberta Hensley.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with Rev Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Missouri.
