Alice Kelly Obituary
Beloved wife of the late Peter F. "Pat" Kelly, whom she married March 6, 1954 and who preceded her in death on February 18, 1994. Alice, the Matriarch of the Kelly family was loving mother of Patrick Kelly of Naperville, Kevin (Suzette) Kelly of Castle Rock, CO, Tim (the late Amy) Kelly of Yorkville, IL, Sharon (George) Jeffery of Plainfield and Cindy Kelly of Lisle, adored grandmother of Jason (Kelly) Zech and Bethany Kelly; Brittany (Jake) Croop and Joseph Kelly; Sarah (Adam) Schmid, Katheryn Kelly and Ryan Kelly; Phil Jeffery and Jim (Kari) Jeffery, cherished great-grandmother of Gabriel and Oliver; Hannah and Madison: Jeffrey; Maverick and Payton; Zoey and Charlotte, devoted daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (nee Wych) Salata, dear sister of Therese (the late Joseph) Welsh, Josephine (Kenneth) Pekarek, Nancy Wollard, the late Richard (the late Dian) Salata, the late Robert (the late Mary) Salata and the late Mary Ann (the late Edward) Mezan, sister-in-law of Joseph (the late Carmen) Kelly, fond cousin, aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt and friend of many.
Alice grew up in Lisle, attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic School and Sacred Heart High School, where she met her future husband, Pat.
Alice was a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and traveling, especially to various Major League ballparks, Cubs Spring Training and Las Vegas.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 4:00-7:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.
A celebration of Alice's life will follow on Wednesday, 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
Private inurnment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
