Alice Leonard Obituary

Published by Ibert's Mortuary - Franklin on Jun. 19, 2018.
Alice Black Leonard, a native of Smackover, Arkansas and a longtime resident of Franklin, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 74 on Monday, June 19, 2018, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a woman of strong faith and was a longtime member of Beam of Light Christian Fellowship Church in Franklin. She absolutely loved arts and crafts and scrap-booking, but what brought the most joy to her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she deeply loved. Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her four children, Willis A. Leonard Jr., Veronica Clement and her husband Cord, Mary Leonard, and Keith Leonard and his wife Karen; eight grandchildren, Cody Leonard, Jesse Leonard, Sharona Brasseaux, Jake Clements, Nicole Duncan, Kenny Frederick, Gregory Leonard, and Danielle Leonard; ten great grandchildren, Paisley, Daniel, Mia, Bella, Jazmin, Noah, Olivia, Nickolas, Alexis, and Adora; four sisters, Amy Lee, Carolyn Minvielle and her companion Bubba, Claudine Chauvin and her husband Gerald, and Carrie Alcina and her husband Joe; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Adam Leonard Sr.; her parents, Buckley Black and Leona Brazeale Black; two brothers, Johnny Black (infant) and Thomas Black Sr.; two sisters, Maudine Noble and Polly Pumphrey; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Hebert Sr., Billy Noble, Allen Pumphrey; and one sister-in-law, Gale Black. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Sister Toni Liner and Bro. Chris Hebert conducting the service. She will be laid to rest in Perpetual Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cord Clement, Jake Clements, Danny Brasseaux, Cody Leonard, Jesse Leonard, Gregory Leonard, Glenn Hebert Jr., Chris Hebert, and Thomas Black Jr. Family and friends may view the obituary and express their condolences online by visiting www.iberts.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, Franklin, LA 70538, (337) 828-5426.
