Alice M. Marks, age 61, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at her home. Alice Marie Lamb was born on February 3, 1964, in Austin, Minnesota, to Arthur and Grace (Rubin) Lamb. She grew up in Brownsdale and graduated from Hayfield High School with the class of 1982. Alice was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. She was blessed with three children, Joshua, Anthony, and Samantha, and their families. Alice happily married Charles Ray Marks on June 26, 2010, and was blessed further with three stepdaughters, Mindy, Samantha, and Melissa. Together Alice and Chuck built a loving home with their combined families. Alice worked for seven years at the Austin Post Office. Her time at the post office allowed her to connect with the community and people she loved. She loved animals of all kinds and welcomed the wildlife into her backyard with food. Alice and Chuck lived happily with their pets, Lilly, Ava and Sophie. She also enjoyed hitting the open road with Chuck on their Harley, and woodworking and crafting for her family and friends. Most of all, Alice loved the time she spent with her children and grandchildren – they meant the world to her. We will remember her for her kindness and the unforgettable woman she was. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Alice is survived by her husband, Charles; children, Joshua (Amanda) Keyes, Anthony (Dyani) Thomson, and Samantha (Josh) Cross; stepdaughters, Mindy (Nick) Oman, Samantha (Wynn) Marks, and Melissa (Brent) Mees; grandchildren, Natalie, Rylie, and Kaylie Keyes, Hudson Cross, Emma Oman, Cameron and Chloe Mees, Riannah King, and Kendra, Henry, and Olive; mother, Grace Lamb; sisters, Mary (Bill) Guggisberg, and Brenda (Kevin) Sabin; brother, Charles (Pam) Lamb; and many nieces and nephews.
