Alice A. McDowell, 96, of Princeton, IN passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. She was born March 28, 1929 in Gibson County to Frank F. Purcell and Viola C. (Dilbeck) Purcell. Alice married Robert E. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. McDowell; sons, Darrel McDowell and Dennis McDowell; and siblings, Jewell (Kenneth) Schafer, Jess (Margaret) Purcell, and James (Gerri) Purcell.

Alice is survived by her son, Don (Deb) McDowell; grandchildren, Nick (Misty) McDowell, Dawn Wendleton, Courtney Mason, Lisa (Sean) Germann, Shawn McDowell, and Michael McDowell; great-grandchildren, Morgan McDowell, Nate McDowell, Eric Mason, Jonah Wendleton, Justin Wendleton, Emilee Alisun Wendleton, Liam Germann, Avelyn Germann, Hailey McDowell, and Alexa McDowell; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Monday, January 12, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with Jonathon Scott officiating. Interment to follow at Centenary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the service time at the funeral home.
