Mrs. Alice W. McGee-Fleming, 75, of Houston, TX, formerly of Gadsden, AL passed away on Thursday, October 16,2025.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:23 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4

OBITUARY

Mrs. Alice Fleming McGee was born in Gadsden, Alabama August 14, 1950 the oldest daughter of Ms. Mable Wofford and Mr. Allen Burton.

She was educated in the Public Schools in Gadsden ultimately graduating in 1968 from Carver High School- Former Home of The Mighty Wildcats. Alice later graduated from Gadsden State Technical Trade School with a focus on Business Education.

Sister Fleming relocated to Washington D.C. and was employed with Kenneth Hamilton Tax Services a number of years. Upon returning to Gadsden, Alice worked for a number of years at Mountain View Hospital where she made many lifelong friends. After closure of Mountain View, Sister Alice became employed with Riverview Hospital where she worked as a Patient Care Assistant. She loved working there and again made many friends and acquaintances. Alice retired from Riverview due to disability after many years of service.

Sister Fleming McGee was a member early on of Union Baptist Church under leadership of the late Rev. L. A. Warren later becoming a founding member of Damascus Baptist Church where she served as church secretary, Sunday School Superintendent and member of the church choir and faithful member. Sister Alice later began worship with Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ under the late Elder A.F. Johnson. She continued worship there with Elder David Alexander, again making many precious friends and relationships. Sister Fleming eventually began worshiping with Mission Baptist Church under the

leadership of Rev. Grady E. Robinson Jr where she served until relocation to Sugarland, Texas. In Sugarland, she united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. J. Amos Jones where she made many friends and always had a smile for everyone. She attended until her health began to fail. She made sure she got her quarterly Sunday School book from Sis. Lynn Bryant so she could keep up with the lessons.

Sister Fleming was united in Holy Matrimony to Rev. William Fleming and remained until his passing in 1996. No children from this marriage.

Her joy was watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, Roman Reigns of the WWE, Smackdown, The Houston Astros, and The Atlanta Braves.

Alice's earthly journey was completed Thursday morning October 16, 2025 at 3:14 am in Houston, Texas. To God Be The Glory!

Sister Alice leaves sweet memories to her only sister, Rosa Morrow (Houston, Texas), Nephew and wife, Jamison and Sharonda Morrow (Richmond, Texas), Nieces, Yasmine Morrow and Jada Morrow (Richmond, Texas), First Cousin Emmett Wofford II (Seattle, Washington), Sister and Brothers-in-laws Ethel, Tony, Jerry, Henry, George (Pat) McGhee, Gadsden and Chicago, Il. And numerous cousins, church members, and dear friends. Special Friends: Mrs. Margie Fomby Detroit, MI, Mrs. Martha Moorer, Mrs. Andrea Granger, Rev. & Mrs. Adrian Lara, Min. Brigette Shaw, Min. Paula Boyd, Pastor Eric Howard - Houston, Texas Fort Bend Seniors Four Corners - Sugarland, TX Pentecostal Temple COGIC Gadsden, Alabama, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Class of 1968 Carver High School and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

We ask that you please keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Public viewing will be Saturday, October 25,2025 from 12noon-2pm.

Celebration of life Services will be 2 O'clock in the afternoon, Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Mission Baptist Church, 1115 Tuscaloosa Ave, Gadsden, Al 35901. Burial: Lincoln Hill Memorial Park. Eulogist: Rev. Dr. Grady E. Robinson, Jr., Pastor
