Alice Janette Moncrief, age 76, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025. Alice was a beloved member of her community and cherished by her family and friends.

Born in Jasper, Georgia, to the late Robert Luther and Ora Dell Richards Hooper, Alice spent her life surrounded by the beauty of her hometown. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as shopping, fishing with her son Daniel, and watching classic television shows like Hopalong Cassidy and Beverly Hillbillies. Above all, Alice loved her family deeply and treasured the time spent with them.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Judd Farrell Garland; her daughter, Tammy Stanfield; and her brothers, Eugene Tatum and Robert Junior Hooper, sister Mary May. She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly: her daughter, Regina Osborne and husband Bobby; her son, Daniel Moncrief; her son, Jeff Garland and wife Angela; her son, Greg Garland; her son, Scott Garland and wife Teresa; her son, Robert Hooper and wife Lacey; her daughter, Lori Jones; and her sister, Mildred Grogan. Alice is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 11 AM until the funeral service at 4 PM in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at a later date in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Cagle Funeral Home and Sunrise Memorial Gardens are honored to assist the family of Alice Moncrief during this difficult time. Alice's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
