Alice was married to James Harrell for many years. She enjoyed fishing and cooking for friends and family.
She is survived by daughters, Marie Steedley (Frank) of Fort White, Florida and Shirley Shinholster (Larry, deceased) of Alachua, Florida; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Harrell; son, Alton Lamar "Butch" Vaughn; daughter, Betty Joe Halbrook, grandchildren Frank Steedley Jr. and A'lyce Vaughn
A funeral service has been scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Evans Carter Funeral Home, 18724 High Springs Main Street, High Springs. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow the funeral service at Forest Meadows Cemetery East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville.
