CRIDERSVILLE -- Alice Marie Orick, 87 of Cridersville, passed away July 29, 2024, at Otterbein Cridersville Senior Life Community, with her loving family by her side. Alice was born July 12, 1937 in Lima, to James and Hazel (Chalfin) Stevenson, who preceded her in death.
On November 12, 1953, she married Ronald E. Pittenger, who preceded her in death in March of 1978. On June 9, 1979, she married Eldon Orick, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2017.
Alice attended Fostoria High School and she worked various jobs at Lima Memorial Hospital. She volunteered over 4,000 hours at Lima Memorial and she was a caretaker for the elderly. Alice loved ice cream, especially Pete's Ice Cream, and playing cards with her friends at Otterbein. In her younger years, she would walk miles a day, often at WalMart. Most of all, Alice loved spending time with her family. She particularly enjoyed cooking holiday meals. Alice will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Alice is survived by her children, Cristy Long, Kim (Barbie) Pittenger, Jacquline (Ronald) Druckenmiller, and Kathleen (Perry) Miller; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Florence Stevenson; step-daughters, Bev (Charles) Conkle and Pam Neely and her close friends at Otterbein.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angela McClenathan, siblings, William Stevenson, Barbara Stevenson Conley, Mary Duvaull, Betty Hersh, Eugene Stevenson and Thomas Stevenson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

alice and ronnie stood up for me and my husband joe when we got married 1972. i worked with her at lmh. she was so witty and fun to be around , i havent seen her for years but she will always be in my thoughts and prayers and the family also . rose robbins
