Alice Petersen Rippey, 87, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, with her son and daughter by her side.
Born in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 30, 1938, Alice was the daughter of Carl Valdmar Petersen and Bonnie Mills Petersen. She attended Troy University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Auburn University, where she also met her future husband, William Reinhard Rippey, Sr., on a blind date.

A former member of the Daytona Beach Garden Club and the Junior Service League, Alice was also an avid quilter who found great joy in creating and sharing her work. Above all, her most cherished roles were those of wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Patty Rippey; her son, Bill Rippey (Natasha); and her grandchildren: Rein Rippey (Madison), Clay Rippey (Kaycee), and Ramsey Girard (Dalton). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Magnolia June, Ali Ruth, Lilah Monroe, and Greer Riley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Reinhard Rippey, Sr.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at Central Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Florida.
