Alice Joy Rogers

Alice Joy Rogers, 79, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Arlington, Texas.

Alice was born on November 4, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Grace and Joseph Thome. She built a life rooted in love, creativity, and devotion to her family. Alice worked for many years at Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages, now AT&T, and later at Valpak; in all her endeavors, her character was distinguished by dedication and a strong work ethic.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily Parolek, and husband Jason; her beloved bonus children, Cheryl Beesley and husband James, Suzy Edmonson and husband Jon, and Cindy Collier and husband Frank. Alice was a proud grandmother to Lillian Parolek, Wesley Parolek, Sarah Niccum, Benjamin Niccum, John Niccum, Jessica Truex, Josef Niccum, Nancy Brock, Becca Delgado, Andrew Edmonson, and Amy Perales. She is also survived by her brother, William Thome.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Joseph Thome; her husband, Tom Rogers; and her son, Don Rogers, and his wife Terri.

Alice found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved feeding and watching the birds, creating and appreciating art, laughing freely, and settling in to watch a good movie. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely and without reservation. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
