DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home & Cremation ServiceWith heavy hearts, we announce that Alice Faye (Wilkinson) Thomas, a beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the age of 71 at Faith Landing Personal Care Home in Waynesboro Georgia. After battling dementia that took so much from her, it never took her spirit or love for her family. We will always cherish her joyful laughter, passion for music, appreciation of nature, and most of all, the love she shared with everyone, especially her grandchildren.
She was born Tuesday, September 28th, 1954, in Savannah, Georgia and has been a resident of Burke County, Georgia for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucius A Wilkinson Jr. and Evelyn Rochelle Wilkerson; one brother, Michael Wilkerson; two sisters, Rochelle Peavy and Jayne Proctor; and two grandchildren, Russell Shayne Findley Jr. and Robert Lee Williams.
Faye is survived by her children, Walter Wilkinson (Zandria), Robert Westenberger (Rebecca), Evelyn Garbaty (Randy), and Robert Williams (Crystal); 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
She loved Harley Davidson’s, gardening, crafting, music, and visiting the mountains and the beach. Above all, Faye treasured the time she spent with family, especially all of her grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Our mother’s greatest achievement was creating a family united by love, respect, and shared traditions.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, April 3 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00am Saturday, April 4 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
