Alice Faye Turner, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away on January 3, 2024. She was a pillar of strength and love within her family, community, and faith. Alice will forever be remembered for her vibrant personality, generous heart, and unwavering faith.
Born on May 26, 1942, Alice was a force to be reckoned with from the very beginning. Throughout her life, she embodied strength and resilience in the face of adversity. Her warm and outgoing nature made her the heart of every family event she hosted. Alice had an undeniable love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
Alice's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a prayer warrior who steadfastly believed in the power of faith to overcome any challenges. Alice's commitment to her spiritual journey inspired those around her and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Beyond her immediate family circle, Alice had a deep love for her community. She was known for adopting those in need and providing them with support and guidance. Her altruistic spirit shone brightly as she extended love to anyone who crossed her path.
In addition to being a pillar of strength and faith, Alice had a playful side as well. She loved to fish and would spend hours by the water with a fishing rod in hand. Her competitive nature emerged in games of dominoes and cards; she embraced every chance to take home a victory.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother Mamie Turner, father Frank Turner, all siblings, her daughter Carolyn McDuff, grandson Tyrone L. Turner, and niece Verna Nixon . Their absence leaves a void in our hearts, the memories we hold dear will keep their spirits alive forever.
She is survived by six loving daughters: Debra A., Debra J., Cynthia, Audrey, Miecia, and Rochelle. Alice's legacy extends to her 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her love and guidance will continue to flourish through each generation of her family.
A celebration of Alice Faye Turner's life will be held on January 12th and January 13th, 2024, at the New Life Fellowship Temple in Dallas, Texas. The events will begin on January 12th with a gathering from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On January 13th, a homegoing service will be held at 12:00 PM.
