Alice Lorraine Whittington

Alice Lorraine Whittington, 90, of Brandywine, MD passed away on August 14, 2025 at her residence with her son and grandson by her side. Lorraine was born on March 28, 1935 to the late Marjorie Cross Hyde and Roger T. Hyde. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning vegetables from her garden, and spending time with her family. Lorraine retired from the Prince Georges County District Court as a clerk. Lorraine was married to Anthony E. Whittington on September 28, 1959. They are survived by their son, Rodney E. Whittington and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Whittington; two grandchildren, Shelby DeRego and Nicholas Whittington; two great grandchildren, Jack and Elaina DeRego; one brother, Robert Hyde; three sisters, Janice Catterton, Erma Catterton, and Peggy Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her siblings, Roger and Philip Hyde. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Whittington, Tyrone Savoy, Donnie Catterton, Chris Hyde, and Kenny Hyde. Visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 9:30 AM until time of Service at 11:30 AM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
