Funeral services celebrating the life of Alice Williams will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, at St. Matthew Baptist Church, Boyce, Louisiana, with the Rev. Frank J. Jackson officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until time of services.
Alice Jones Williams, was born to the union of Willie & Carrie Battles on October 30, 1930.
She was the youngest of fourteen siblings, twelve of which preceded her in death: Gus, Ruben, Louise, Thelma, Leanna, Grace, Arthur, Robert, Ben, Willie, Eli, and Charity. Alice leaves behind Mary and Joe.
Alice Williams departed this earthly realm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 3:27 p.m. Praise be to God for another strong soldier entering eternal life.
Alice Williams was baptized by Rev. Wells, Assistant Pastor; Mount Olive Baptist Church, Pastor Rev. C.C. Jacob 1942. She was married to the late Emile Williams Sr. June 12, 1948.
To the union of Emile and Alice, seven children were born; three daughters and four sons; Charity M. Williams, Nathan P. Williams, Agalice Holley (Earl), Brenda N. Hagger (Earl), Emile Williams Jr., Clarence R. Williams Sr. (Pat), Gearry T. Williams (Toohsdi), Clinton S. Williams Sr. (Amanda), raised by grandparents Emile & Alice.
Mrs. Alice served her church, family and community very well. She was a source of undying support for all the family and will be missed greatly. She served as an usher for 50+ years in the church and served in the Mission.
She leaves to celebrate her life 15 grandchildren: Clinton, Angela/Shirlion, (Preceded in death), Stacy, Belinda, Clarence Jr., Marcella, Kevin, Gordon, Emile III, Ashely, Kristan, Tiffany, Miah, Kami, and Calah. In addition, 27 great-grandchildren: Clinton Jr., Christopher, Cayden, Caylee, Richard III, Freddie, Marissa, Lauren, Devin, Dominique, Mariyhia, Miyhia, Elijah, Ethan, Gordon Jr., German, Jordyn, Alivia, Ashton, Aden, Elaina, Jaylen, Marlie, A'kayla, Patrick, Ambrielle, and Katlin. 1 great-great-grandchild: Zyarie Kylie Richard (Preceded in death). She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
