Alice Wintz-Langdale Obituary

She was born on May 18, 1938 to the late Harvey and Irene Bowen Wintz Galloway in Barboursville, WV. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh D. Langdale; brother, Harvey Wintz Jr..
Alice had previously worked for the State of Florida as a clerk in Tallahassee, was a switchboard operator at Cape Kennedy Space Center, and a US Postal Clerk in Lundale, WV as well.
She was the ideal homemaker, who loved to keep a meticulous home and yard, enjoyed all arts and crafts although she loved to paint, play Solitaire on her computer, as well as, canning and making jellies and jams. She loved all animals.
Alice is survived by her niece: Tami Wintz; nephew, Michael Wintz (Yvette); and great niece, Jessica Wintz Adams (Steven); and her special friend, Alice McCallister.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Stormy Bays, Nicole Holderby, and Bonnie George of English Meadows for their exceptional care for Alice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Alice's name to: Kanawha Charleston Humane Association 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston WV 25311 in recognition of her love for animals.
Graveside Service for Alice will be 10:00am Thursday July 10, 2025 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, WV.
Chapman Funeral Home 3941 Teays Valley Road Hurricane, WV is honored to serve the Wintz-Langdale family.
