MS. ALICIA VANESSA BROWN GRIFFIN – AGE 47, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1977. She was preceded by her parents, Robert Kevin Griffin and Drusilla Lynn Brown Griffin, paternal great grandparents, Rev. Frances Rivers Ramsey and James Ramsey, Willie Benjamin Griffin and Pauline Davis Griffin, maternal grandparents, Mary and Ben Brown, paternal grandfather, Robert "Bobby" Griffin, and her aunt, Evette Frost. Alicia graduated from Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, California and CNA Nursing School in Calhoun, Georgia. She was a member of Solomon Temple Missionary Baptist Church and last employed at Dalton Square.
Survivors are her loving and devoted family, daughter, Brionca Coleman; grandmother, Jimmie Lou Luckey; aunts, Barbara Allen, Chanda (Jeff) Bryant, Dovie Brown, Marilyn Brown; uncles, Tracy (Lernice) Dillard, Alvin Brown, Sr., Christopher Pearsall; great aunts, Caroline Virginia Broome, Gladiola Griffin, Willa Faye Williams; great uncle, Raymond (Lillie Mae) Bonds; nieces; nephews; special cousins, Sonja G. Henderson, Demitris Williams, Devin Williams, Alvin Brown; special friends, Avis (Calvin) Lee, Angela Lynette Samuel, Shannan Martin; other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration for Alicia Vanessa Brown Griffin will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P. M. Beginning at 7:00 P. M. there will be Words of Comfort from Rev. Rodney Weaver, Rev. Charles D. Catchings, and family members. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
