Alicia GOLEMBIEWSKI

A beautiful star returned to the heavens when ALICIA GOLEMBIEWSKI, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Edgewood, KY.

Born in the Philippines, Alyce had a successful career as an actress and singer touring with bands across the South Pacific in the 1950's until she met her husband, LeRoy in Okinawa, Japan. After marrying in the Philippines, they moved to LeRoy's hometown of Cleveland, OH.

There, they did everything together for the next 63 years including running Fil-Am Beverage and volunteering countless hours at Holy Name Church and the Knights of Columbus. Alyce was a Eucharistic minister and past president of the Women's Guild and Isabella Guild. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was watching her grandchildren, bowling, playing cards or laughing around the dinner table, Alyce shined wherever she went.

Alyce is survived by her daughter JoLen (Ian) Madden, grandchildren Sawyer and Devin, sister Su (Steve) Steitz, niece Rachiel (Brian) Kopack, and many other nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy, parents Francisco and Josepha, and siblings Narry, Josie, Stella and Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be forwarded to Holy Name Church.

A mass in celebration of her life will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church, 8328 Broadway Ave, Cleveland, OH on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 10:00AM.

Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

Though we say goodbye, we do so with gratitude-for a life beautifully lived and a love that will never fade.
