In Loving Memory of Alicia G. Porras

April 22, 1935 – October 9, 2025

It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Alicia G. Porras, who went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2025. Surrounded by her family and wrapped in love, she left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy that will live on for generations.

Born in Parral, Chih Mexico, Alicia G. Porras lived a life filled with strength, faith, and devotion. She built her world around her family, always giving more than she had and loving without limits. Her kindness and patience touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She married the love of her life, Jose R. Porras, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2010. Together, they raised seven children: Oscar Porras, Carlos Porras, Elizabeth Porras, Miguel Porras, David Porras, and her late sons Roberto J. Porras and Ruben Porras, whom she now joins in eternal rest. Family was her greatest joy. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of her cooking. She created a space where everyone felt loved and welcomed – a true reflection of her heart. Those who knew her will remember her for her faith, her humility, and her strength through every hardship. Even after great loss, she remained the light of her family – a woman whose prayers, wisdom and love guided generations. She leaves behind her loving children, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Cemetery and Funeral Center on November 5, 2025, at 9:00am.

Though she may no longer be with us, her love remains – in every prayer, every family meal, and every act of kindness she inspired.

Te amaremos por siempre, mamá y abuelita. Que descanses en paz.

(We will love you forever, Mom and Grandma. Rest in peace.)
