Beyond loved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alicia White, finished her race in victory and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2024.
Alicia was born on August 23rd, 1937, to Francisco Solis and Luz Villa in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. She was the eldest of seven children.
Alicia met and married her husband and had two children, Marc Eric and Kelly Ann.
The family moved from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, to Kalamazoo where Alicia began her journey to citizenship. She worked as a housekeeper, a volunteer crafts instructor for 4H, and at the local plant nurseries. She started a 20-year career at General Motors, after which she retired. Alicia was very active and decided to return to the plant nurseries and back to growing her beloved flowers, even into her 80’s.
Alicia was very dedicated to her church and was a member at Iglesia Evangelica Misionera Hispana for many years. She read her Bible more than twenty times from start to finish and was very strong in her faith.
She loved watching sports, especially the Lions, Tigers, and Wolverines. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Alicia was the most selfless person – her laugh and smile were contagious. She always put her family and friends first, making sure everyone was taken care of and felt loved.
