October 20, 1943 - January 26, 2024Aline is survived by her husband George Childers, her daughter and son-in-law Deena and Rusty Stuart and her step-children Angela Conner (Trey), Dee Dee Curry, Angie Eaton, Yvonne Tibbits (Sean), and Angela Alexander. She is also survived by her sisters Lucy Albert, Mariette Thompson (John), Claire Lesinski (Paul), Jeannette Brunet, and sister-in-law Therese Brunet as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Aline was preceded in death by her parents, Aurel and Marguerite Brunet, her brother, Robert Brunet, her sister, Louise Hipp, and her nephew, Brady Albert.Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, Aline's family moved to Brevard County, Florida when she was 15. She was a graduate of Cocoa High School and became a US citizen. She relocated to Madison County, Alabama in 1984 and lived there until returning to Brevard County in 2020.A retired hairdresser, Aline worked for JC Penney Salons and provided many of the family's haircuts over the years.As the oldest sister of a large family, Aline took her responsibilities seriously. She helped raise her younger sisters and some of their children and even their grandchildren. She kept her family legacy alive by speaking French her entire life, singing the French-Canadian songs from her youth, baking and cooking family recipes, and passing on special memories and stories.Affectionately known as "Nin", she was a warm and loving woman with a sharp wit who enjoyed a good laugh and knew how to keep everyone in line. She loved her dogs: Dusty, Radar, and Chico. She was a great cook and her chicken and dumplings and Kahlua cake were often requested. She will always be remembered for the way her smile lit up when her family members came over for a hello hug. She cherished her life and family and loved to share her theme song "I Will Survive" with everyone.As we say goodbye to this beloved family member, we know that she will forever be in our hearts and that we have been blessed by her presence in our lives. Our hearts are filled with sadness, but our memories are filled with the good times we shared over the years.All expressions of sympathy, including flowers and cards, are welcomed and should be sent directly to the homes of George Childers and/or Deena Stuart.
