Aline Shrum Obituary
Aline "Jane" Shrum died peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was born in England in July of 1924. In her early years, she was a nurse and worked in England, South Africa and South America. While married, they lived in many countries and were based in Connecticut and New Jersey, and retired to Virginia. She was involved with "Newcomers", made cat beds for the local SPCA and was actively involved with the Woman's Club of Charlottesville and was a past president.
Her gardens showed her love of all things that grew, and she was a keen bowler. She leaves behind her husband, Calvin Shrum; her niece, Frances Kerr of Bremo Bluff, Virginia; a stepdaughter, Julie James of Washington; Jasper and Bianca, her cats; and a large family in England.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard. Per her wishes, she is being cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Shrum - My husband and I were on a bowling team with you and Jane in the mid-90's (before we were husband and wife) and have very fond memories of you both. We are so sorry to hear of Jane's passing and have you in our prayers.
