Alison Theresa Melbourne

Alison DeSouto/Melbourne, 56, of North Stonington, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2026. Born on February 18, 1970, in Danbury, Connecticut, Alison spent her life in the region she called home.

Alison was a devoted mother to her daughters, Crystal DeSouto and Bethany Melbourne/Ortiz whom she shared with her beloved Kenneth K Melbourne. A loving daughter to her mother Marian Denise DeSouto. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her six beloved grandchildren: granddaughters Dezirae, Isabella, Salina, and great granddaughter Evelyn; and grandsons Jayden and Brayden. Alison also shared a close bond with her sisters, Darlene DeSouto and Denise DeSouto, as well as her two nieces, Felicia Lessing and Sierra Lessing and three nephews, Bryan Malo, Ryan Malo, and Andrew Malo.

She was predeceased by her father, Allan DeSouto; her grandmother, Alice DeSouto; and her aunt, Carolyn DeSouto. Their memories remained close to Alison's heart throughout her life.

Alison had a creative spirit and found joy in crafting of all kinds. Her passion for beading and jewelry making was unmatched, and she poured love into every piece she created. Those who knew Alison remember her as someone who always wanted the best for others-a sentiment that guided her actions and relationships throughout her life.

Above all else, she loved her family. She cherished time together and wanted nothing more than to be close to the people she loved.
