Obituary published on Legacy.com by Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.
Allan William Albetski, 74, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Lucy (Gervascio) Albetski, died quietly at home on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Allan was born in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Alfred and Theresa (Kokocinski) Albetski.

Allan grew up in Enfield and graduated from Enfield High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. He worked in computer programming most of his life and began his career at Arthur A. Watson & Co. in Wethersfield, where he met the love of his life, Lucy Gervascio. Allan and Lucy were married on April 20, 1985, and they lived in Newington and Chicago, IL, before settling in South Windsor in 1998. He continued his computer programming career with several other companies over the years and was currently employed with P-n-T Data Corp. in Middletown.

Allan loved music and was a talented clarinet player and an avid guitar player. He was a longtime member of the South Windsor Community Band, where he played the clarinet and conducted. He enjoyed volunteering at the Laurel Music Camp. He loved to travel with his wife and family, enjoying trips to Europe and to destinations all over the U.S. He enjoyed collecting ducks, doing puzzles, and making Dad jokes.

Allan's family was his proudest accomplishment, and he cherished each moment he had to spend with them. He loved family gatherings and parties, often hosting them at his home with Lucy. He was a proud father to his two daughters and grandfather to his grandson and granddaughter.

Along with his wife of over 40 years, Lucy, he leaves his daughters, Katherine Albetski of Palmer, MA, and Rachel Albetski of Ridgewood, NY; his grandchildren whom he cherished, Henry and Kailey, his siblings, Eric Albetski and his wife Jan of Melrose, Julie Albetski of Enfield, and Pat Faust and her husband Dennis of Enfield; his sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Chris Gervascio and his wife Tara of North Granby, Alice Sheremeta of Coventry and Nancy Albetski of Enfield; and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Albetski.

His family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4-7 pm at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11 a.m., meeting directly at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Allan's memory to Paws 4 Life Cat Rescue in Bolton. CT.
