Sylvia Albetski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on Feb. 16, 2026.
Sylvia Albetski, 85, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Donald Albetski, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on August 22, 1940, Sylvia was raised in Southbridge, MA, where she attended local schools. She later met and married Donald, and together they made their home in Enfield, Connecticut, where they raised their family and built a life centered on caring, family, and tradition.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Sylvia's greatest joy was time spent with those she loved. She was a talented baker who delighted in teaching her children and grandchildren cherished family recipes to be passed down for generations. She was revered for her Christmas cookie recipes, and spent time with her children and grandchildren making cookies and passing down her traditions. A true artist in the kitchen, Sylvia was a master of cake decorating and created a wedding cake for each of her children, a gift of both beauty and love. Her creativity extended beyond baking to jewelry making, where she expressed her artistic talents in thoughtful, handcrafted pieces. She also found peace and happiness tending to her garden and watching the birds that visited her yard. One of her greatest joys was going to tag sales and estate sales looking for treasure.

Sylvia enjoyed a successful career with Viking Office Products, where she served as a customer service manager. She was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and warm rapport with colleagues and customers alike.

She is survived by her son, Michael Albetski and his wife Gail; her daughters, Sue Albetski, Donna Dorman and her husband Jay, and Sandy Kittle; her grandchildren, Brian Albetski, Jason Dorman and his wife Stephanie, Kristina Boulette and her husband Joe, Ashley Dorman and her husband Matt, Matthew Albetski, David Kittle, Jr., and his wife Heather, Nicholas Kittle; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Jacob, Harper, and Kennedy. She also leaves many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
