Mass of Christian Burial for Allan Dentlinger will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Bryce Lundgren officiating; interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Allan Louis Dentlinger, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and hardworking member of the Gillette community, passed away on September 19 2023, at the age of 70. Born on October 2, 1952, in Carroll, Iowa, Allan was the son of the late Alphonse and Catherine Dentlinger (Anstoeter). Allan attended grade school in Halbur and later went on to complete his high school education at Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll, Iowa. Allan proudly served in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged. In 1980, he made the decision to start a new chapter in his life and relocated to Gillette, Wyoming. It was here that he was able to showcase his dedication and passion for his work with various oil field companies, including Gane Production, First Energy Services, Basic Energy Services, and Fuller Construction. In 1986, Allan met Roxann and later got married on June 10, 1989. Allan will forever be cherished and remembered by his loving wife, Roxann Dentlinger, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers, Loran Dentlinger, Glenn Dentlinger, Keith Dentlinger, and his sisters, Joyce Plunkett, Linda Halbur, Nancy Dentlinger, and Julie Casper. Furthermore, Allan's memory will live on through his stepdaughter, Ashley Delgado, and his four adoring grandchildren, Marissa Greene, Alicia Larsen, Hector Delgado, and Araceli Delgado. Allan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Francis Dentlinger. Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716.
