Allan Levon "Buddy" Johnson

Allan Levon "Buddy" Johnson, 85, passed away peacefully Friday, February 20, 2026 at Conway Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born December 14, 1940 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Boyd Norton Johnson and Flossie Mae Jordan Johnson.

He was also predeceased by his sister, Barbara Ann Browning and grandchild, Jimmy Arthur Richardson III.

Buddy was a member of Brown Swamp United Methodist Church, Conway Masonic Lodge #65 and owner/operator of H&J Shooting and Preserve. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, which included hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed any type of sports and racing.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Janet G. Johnson; daughter, Sheila Richardson (Jimmy); sister, Sara Faye Ledbetter; grandchildren, Joshua Coleton Richardson and Paizleigh McKenna Richardson, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Monday, February 23, 2026 at Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Fitch and Rev. Rodney Norris officiating.

Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
