Allan K. Mowat

Allan K. Mowat, Sr., 70, of Loveland, passed away on April 5, 2010. He was born on January 2, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to James F. and Helen A. Mowat. He graduated Mane Township High School in Des Plaines, Illinois. They were married in Chicago, Illinois on December 13, 1969. Allan and Fran just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. He worked for Woodward Governor for more than 20 years as a tool and dye maker. He then was a Thompson School District bus driver for 3 years. Allan loved camping, fishing and boating in Colorado. He was a backyard griller, loved spending time with the grandkids and teaching them about life. Austin and Grandpa had a bond like father and son and he adored all his granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fran Mowat of Loveland, Colorado; son, Allan K. Mowat, Jr. and wife Michelle of Loveland, Colorado and their daughter, Cadence Mowat; daughters: Carolyn Harlan and husband Ron and their children, Austin Johnson, Whitley Harlan, and Ariel Harlan of Loveland, Colorado; Lorene Boyes and husband Alan and their children, Alyssa Bloomgarden and Richard Bloomgarden, and A.J. Boyes of Wisconsin; brother James F. Mowat and wife Gwen of Greenvalley, Arizona. Burial has taken place at Loveland Burial Park.
