Allan Stephens

Allan Stephens of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on July 17, 1944, Allan spent his life serving his community and enjoying the outdoors. He began his career working in the boiler room at Avco after graduating high school and later drove a bus and served in the police reserves before joining the Tewksbury Police Department full time. Allan served with dedication on the police force for 37 years. After retiring, he earned his CDL and drove trucks for construction during the Route 3 project.

Allan loved golf, both playing and watching, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid runner, participating in daily runs with the Tewksbury Police Trotters and traveling across Massachusetts to run 5K and 10K races. He spent family summer holidays in York, Maine, and he had a passion for collecting coins.

He was the beloved father of Robert, Michael, and Paul, and the cherished grandfather of Samantha, Jessica, Bradley, Katelyn, Nichole, Nicholas and Elizabeth. Allan is also survived by his sister Donna and brother Mark and his wife Jody, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of more than sixty years, Marcia, and his parents Sam and Elaine.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 11-3 p.m. at Long Meadow Golf Club, 165 Havilah St, Lowell, MA
